Lost in "Lost"

I think there is nobody on this world who hasn't heard about "Lost", the TV series, even some of whom never watched it. Therefore I am not gonna say that Lost is blah blah... Everybody has their own opinion about it. What I am actually interested in about Lost, is the reaction of the people who follow this show.

The most apparent symptom of the followers of Lost is the inevitable tendency to create theories about the show. Right now it's the 6th season of the show playing on TV. As you expect the theories which were created in the first season and now are poles apart. In the first season it was just the story of survivors of a plane crash on a mysterious island (yeah that's simply the plot); while in the sixth season, it turned out to be the fight of good and evil. How the hell did we come to this point; nobody knows. But they keep creating theories with more ambition as their previous theory fails.

Besides these theoreticians, there are the math geniuses: This type of followers apply the advanced mathematical formulas for the every number they see on the show in order to obtain the magic numbers of Lost; which are 4 8 15 16 23 42. Their colleagues are the ones who are obsessed with the words. From the name of every shop, or a word in a newspaper or so on, they try to find an anagram or an ambigram or whatsoever.

There are also some complainers. These kind of followers always look for logical or individual mistakes on the show. They watch the show frame by frame (index finger on the space bar) in order not to miss any detail. When they find one, they become the happiest person for a moment (at least I believe that they should be, because otherwise it doesn't make any sense).

These are the most general characteristics of the followers of the show; of course there are minor symptoms too. Me? As in the title I am lost in Lost. But I consider myself on the right way. Because there is a statement from one of the producers of the show: "If the viewer is still lost till the final episode, that means we are successful at what we do."
